Pathanamthitta: Four business establishments in Pathanamthitta town were gutted in a massive fire accident on Friday afternoon.

As per the reports, the fire which started in 'A1 bakery' quickly spread to other business establishments. The fire engulfed two bakeries, a footwear store, and a mobile shop. Of this, three establishments were completely gutted.

The incident happened around 1:30 pm. It is not yet clear whether what resulted in the firebreak out. However, the fire reportedly spread as three gas cylinders in the kitchen side of the bakery exploded.

In the explosion, a cylinder was tossed 50 meters away and a person on the road got injured. Meanwhile, the fire and safety personnel are at the place and are trying to extinguish the fire and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby establishments.
