Panchayat offices in Kerala to function on Sunday

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister MV Govindan informed that all grama panchayat officials in the state should report for duty on Sunday(July 3, 2022) to settle pending files.
Further, The panchayat director and deputy director offices will also function normally. However, the public would not be able to avail of normal services.

The staff are tasked to complete the file settlement from June 15 to September 30. Earlier, the minister asked the government employees to spend one holiday in a month to settle the pending files.

Based on this, a holiday every month from July to September will be a working day for all panchayat offices.
