Malappuram: Muslim Youth League national vice president Mueen Ali stated that he does not want to get into a ‘battle’. In a Facebook post, Mueen Ali made it clear that he does not have personal vendetta with anyone and the party is more important to him. Mueen Ali also replied to MLA K T Jaleel indirectly stating that some people are trying to take advantage of the situation.

Mueen Ali had alleged that the Enforcement Directorate served a notice to his father and Muslim League state president Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal in connection with the issues in ‘Chandrika’ daily due to the intervention of party national general secretary P K Kunhalikutty.

It is reported that Mueen Ali was compelled to make a consensus on the issue as even those who are unhappy with Kunhalikutty’s activities refused to support Mueen Ali on this matter. Panakkad family was annoyed as the controversy erupted when Shihab Thangal is suffering from physical ailments.

As Mueen Ali put up a Facebook post, the party can avoid taking action against him and thereby save the face of party. They could also give a message to the party workers that anyone who commits a mistake will face action despite his status.
