The car at the accident site
Balussery: Panakkad Basheer Ali Shihab Thangal was injured after the car he was travelling in hit an electric pole. The car met with an accident at Balussery Puthoorvattam on Sunday evening.
After seeking treatment first at a private hospital in Modakkallur, and then at a private hospital in Kozhikode, he returned home. His driver Hanan was also injured and is undergoing treatment presently.
The accident happened when Thangal was visiting the house of a youth Muslim league worker, Muneeb who died after sustaining an electric shock in Perambra. Reports indicate that the car swerved and hit the pole after a dog jumped its path.
