K Sudhakaran

Kochi: Palarivattom police have registered a case against KPCC president K Sudhakaran over his recent controversial statement against chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The case was registered over the complaint of a DYFI leader. IPC 153 (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) has been charged.

Sudhakaran, referring to the ‘rigorous’ campaign schedule of CM for Thrikkakara byelection, had said that Pinarayi was acting like a ‘dog on the loose’. He asked why all ministers and MLAs were camping in Thrikkakara.

CPM leaders had come out strongly against the statement of Sudhakaran. While Congress played it down, Opposition leader VD Satheesan said it was a Kannur-style slang and not any personal attack.
