The raid at Periyar Crescent in Aluva, comes after the former PWD minister was added as an accused in the case by Vigilance

Aluva: The Vigilance on Monday raided the residence of ex-minister Ebrahim Kunju here in connection with the Palarivattom flyover scam. The raid was conducted with the permission of Muvattupuzha court.

The raid at Periyar Crescent in Aluva comes after the former PWD minister was added as an accused in the case by Vigilance.

He was questioned thrice before initiating the raid. A report on the case will be submitted by Vigilance next week.

Earlier, the Vigilance had arrested former PWD secretary T. O. Sooraj. He had alleged the involvement of Ebrahim Kunju in the flyover scam.

In case of a former minister being punished for corruption, only R. Balakrishna Pillai has faced action in the state. This is the second time a former minister is being added as an accused in the case.
