Kochi: After the arrest of former minister VK Ebrahim Kunju over the Palarivattom flyover scam, VV Nagesh, the owner of Nagesh Consultants who designed the flyover has been arrested.
Vigilance had been interrogating him since yesterday in Kottayam. Following this, on Thursday his arrest was recorded.
Manjunath, the senior consultant at Nagesh Consultants, was added as an accused in the case earlier.
Experts had found the reasons for dilapidated flyover was the faulty structural design, low quality concrete and lack of supervision during construction. Based on the findings, Vigilance brought the consultants into the probe limit.
Nagesh Consultants had taken Rs 17 lakh as consultancy fees. Nagesh will be presented at the Muvattupuzha Vigilance court today.
