Palakkad: CCTV visuals of the gang who hacked RSS worker Sreenivasan to death have come out. The five-member gang on three bikes reached Sreenivasan’s shop on Saturday and hacked him to death. Visuals of the assailants were recorded on the CCTV placed in front of South Indian Bank’s ATM counter.
The three bikes were seen coming from the direction of Melamuri. Among the five people, two were seen running to the shop and escaping from the scene within seconds after committing the crime.
The RSS activist was hacked to death in Palakkad town following the murder of Subair, an SDPI activist at Elappully. Sreenivasan was attacked by the gang around 1 pm on Saturday at his auto consulting centre SKS Autos here.
According to the witnesses, a gang who came on three bikes attacked Sreenivasan.
All of them carried machetes and they hacked Sreenivasan continuously, say witnesses.
At first, the attackers hacked him on his leg. Later, they brutally attacked him continuously by making deep wounds on his stomach and other body parts.
Sreenivasan who suffered severe injuries was rushed to a nearby private hospital. But he succumbed to his injuries around 2 pm.
