Balakrishnan's house
Palakkad: A man committed suicide after hacking his son to death at Nenmara on Thursday night. Nadakkav native Balakrishnan (65) and his son Mukundan were found dead in their residence while relatives and neighbours searched for the duo.
The struggles in looking after the son who was a chronic diabetic might have urged Balakrishnan to commit the heinous crime. Balakrishnan’s wife died years ago. He had always complained to his relatives regarding the difficulty in taking care of his son. Mukundan also suffered from ulcers on his legs and other parts of his body.
Nenmara police have initiated a probe after completing the inquest procedures.
