Palakkad girl throws party to 60 four-legged friends on her birthday

Palakkad: Lakshmi of Palakkad’s Kalepully turned 21 on March 19 and to celebrate her birthday in a novel way she hit the road and threw a party for her four-legged friends. A UG student of Alathur SN College, she fed around 60 stray dogs from the regions of Manali, Kalleppully, Nooradi road, Priyadarshini Nagar and Kottekkad.

The dogs had a treat with chicken meals in banana leaf. This is not the first time that Lakshmi is offering something special for dogs. Being a zoophilist (animal lover) she has been involved in feeding the dogs. She also used to take injured stray dogs to her home for proper care. Interestingly, two dogs that she fosters at home were taken from the streets.

For the birthday special treat for dogs, Lakshmi’s friends Naveen and Ankirez accompanied her.

Lakshmi aspires to become a veterinary doctor. She is the daughter of late Sethumadhavan and Meera. Krishna and Anugraha are her sisters.
