Palakkad court orders to file case against SP Sojan for his 'consensual sex' comment in Walayar case

Palakkad: The district POCSO court here ordered police to charge a criminal case against SP MJ Sojan on his statement about the victims of the Walayar case.

Following the acquittal of the accused in the alleged sexual assault and murder of two girls in Palakkad, Sojan had stated that the girls were not assaulted but engaged in consensual sex.

Mother of the children and activists protested against the statement of the police officer. The committee which led the protests approached court later.

Sojan is with the Crime Branch at Ernakulam now.
