Palakkad: A CPM branch secretary has been arrested here in connection with a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case on Sunday.
Playampally branch secretary M Sunil was arrested based on the complaint filed by a school girl. Following this, the party ousted him.
According to the girl's complaint, the incident happened a week ago. The girl, with the help of her family, filed a complaint.
Sunil was arrested following a preliminary inquiry. He was remanded by a court here.
