Pala bypoll: Cong to hold consensus meeting with Joseph faction on Monday
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress will hold a consensus meeting with the leaders of Kerala Congress Joseph faction on Monday. UDF convenor Benny Behanan, veteran Congress leaders Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, K. C. Joseph and Joshy Philip will hold discussion with Joseph faction leaders at Kottayam.
Congress is confident that all problems will be resolved after the discussion to be held on Monday. Both factions of Kerala Congress started an open battle violating the Congress direction that no public statement should be made until Pala bypoll is over.
P. J. Joseph faction had announced the other day that they would convene parallel conventions. Following this, Congress leaders communicated with Joseph multiple times and he decided not to proceed with the parallel conventions. As the reconciliatory efforts partially succeeded, Congress planned consensus meeting.
Congress is expecting that the campaign can be jointly proceeded after the discussions. Joseph faction will demand that Jose K. Mani faction should not act provocatively during the consensus meetings.
