P Jayarajan refutes allegations over posting in Khadi Board
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM leader P Jayarajan refuted the allegation that the party has been trying to restrict him by deputing him in the post of Khadi Board vice-chairman. He made it clear that he is proud to receive this position. Jayarajan denied the allegations while speaking to the media after taking charge at the Khadi Board headquarters.
The Khadi Board is an inevitable chapter of the Indian freedom movement. It is a privilege to take up the charge of it, he said. The intention is to create more employment opportunities in rural areas. The board will meet on December 1 to discuss the matter further. He also clarified that he would not respond to rumours of corruption against the Khadi Board secretary just on the basis of media reports.
The appointment of the senior leader P Jayarajan to the post rejected by Cherian Philip was widely discussed. P Jayarajan, who came to take charge at the Khadi Board headquarters on Saturday morning, was received by Secretary KA Ratheesh.
