P Jayarajan lashes out at Senkumar over 'vengeful behavour' comment
Kozhikode: CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan has criticised the statements made by former DGP TP Senkumar against him.
In a Facebook post, Jayarajan responded to Senkumar’s statement that P Jayarajan was behind his ouster from the DGP's post.
Jayarajan clarified in the post that the term 'vengeful behaviour' suited Senkumar more than him.
"Senkumar had hatred towards me. He carried out the political aims of Congress during the UDF regime. I was a member of the advisory committee of Kannur central jail in my capacity as MLA. It was Senkumar who worked to remove me as member of the committee. He submitted the report that I visited the jail regularly to meet hardcore criminals in may capacity as Advisory committee member. I was removed from the committee on the basis of report," Jayarajan said.
"It is true that I had visited the Kannur central jail during the period. However, it was to meet more than 500 tribals of Wayanad who were remanded. The Tribals were put in jail following their agitation to get land. I visited the jail to give them dress and other items. Senkumar protected the political interests of Congress by portraying the tribals as hard-core criminals,” Jayarajan said.
