Kottayam: In a tragic incident, the owner of a bull lost his life after being attacked by the animal in Vazhoor here. Reji, the owner, was fatally gored by the bull at Chamampathal. Reji's wife, Darley, was also injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Ponkunnam.
The unfortunate incident took place on Friday around 11 am when Reji went to give water to the bull at home. Both Reji and Darley were immediately rushed to the hospital, but Reji succumbed to his injuries.
According to locals, the bull was displaying signs of rabies, with foam emanating from its mouth. Following the incident, Reji's body was shifted to the Kanjirappally Taluk Hospital mortuary.
