Kakkanad: A female scooter rider was injured in a collision with an overspeeding motorcycle in Ernakulam. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning on the seaport-airport road, in front of the Chittethukara industrial area in Kakkanad, Ernakulam.

The woman has been identified as Palarivattom native Sangeetha Micheal, an employee of SFO Technologies in Kochi.

As per the footage shot on the car camera of CITU leader Raghuram Ramachandran, who was at the spot of the incident, the accident took place after a biker came overspeeding on the wrong side and hit the woman's scooter.

Following which, Sangeetha fell down and the biker fled the place. A complaint has been lodged with the Thrikkakara police against the biker. Apparently, the bike lacked a number plate too.
