Thiruvananthapuram: Minister PA Mohammed Riyas alleged there is a clear motive behind hurling a bomb at the AKG centre in Thiruvananthapuram. He criticized the opposition parties and claimed that UDF and BJP are not ready to accept the second term of the LDF government in the state.

"BJP and Congress are intentionally trying to create riots and disrupt peace in the state. They are not ready to accept us coming back to power for a second term in the state," he said.

He also cited the late 50s Liberation Struggle (Vimochana Samaram), an anti-communist protest against the ruling EMS Namboodiripad government while condemning the opposition's back-to-back attacks.

The attack on AKG Centre aimed to create a stir in the state and disturb law and order in the state, added the minister.

He demanded a thorough investigation over the incident.
