Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said CPM has taken over the law and Anupama, whose baby was taken away by her parents, is facing the consequences of the same.
He also asked why minister Veena George and Child Welfare Committee did not respond when Anupama complained six months ago.
The party has taken over the law. A CPM leader’s daughter was compelled to protest in front of the secretariat to get back her own child following this. The adoption laws were violated in this case. Our stand is that Anupama should get justice, Satheesan added.
Anupamas’ protest is the greatest example of how the party and the government are handling women’s issues, he alleged.
