Malappuram: CPI (M) interim state secretary A Vijayaraghavan said that central agencies are working together with the Opposition to sabotage development activities in Kerala and to destabilise the government.
The Opposition’s campaign activities were aimed at hindering development activities in the state and weakening the government. A collective of the UDF, BJP and central agencies are working together, Vijayaraghavan said while addressing the media here.
The government had taken a stance favouring development that was suitable to the state. But such development did not trouble the public. Those who lost land due to road development received the best compensation. KIIFB helped Kerala reach massive gains in development activities, the CPI (M) leader said.
UDF has weakened considerably after losing Kerala Congress (M). Earlier, the LJD had left the UDF. This has created panic in UDF, which has been reduced to Congress and Muslim League. The IUML is a party that always seeks shortcuts to gain power, said Vijayaraghavan.
