Oppn leader mocks govt over its failure to nab culprits behind AKG Centre attack

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan slammed the CPM-led LDF government for its lacklustre approach in not catching the culprits behind the attack on AKG Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. He also questioned the attack on Congress offices in the state despite the presence of the Kerala Police.

"I doubt whether EP Jayarajan left half an hour earlier before the attack on AKG Centre. There were police deployed in front of AKG Bhavan until a day before the attack. Who was behind withdrawing the police security on the day of the attack?" Satheesan asked.

He also questioned how the attacker managed to flee from the scene despite the presence of more than 70 CCTVs in the area around AKG Centre.

Meanwhile, Satheesan quoted a story of writer Sacaria published in Mathrubhumi Weekly (Azchappathippu) as ridiculing the state government's failure to nab those behind the attack on the AKG centre.
