Oppn boycott Question Hour over MLAs satyagraha
Thiruvananthapuram: The Opposition on Thursday stayed away from the Question Hour in the Kerala Assembly protesting over the Government stand taken on the satyagraha being held by 3 UDF MLAs at the portal of the assembly house on the Sabarimala issue.
When the House convened in the morning, the Opposition members raised slogans demanding withdrawal of prohibitory orders and other regulations in Sabarimala. After this, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala declared that they will boycott the Question Hour session.
The government has taken a hostile stand on the MLAs protest, Chennithala alleged. MLAs V S Sivakumar, N Jayaraj, Parakkal Abdulla are holding indefinite hunger strike at the portal of the Assembly house for the past 11 days.
