Thiruvananthapuram: Former chief minister Oommen Chandy’s son Chandy Oommen said that the veteran Congress leader will soon be taken to Bengaluru for treatment.

Chandy Oommen’s statement came after people close to Oommen Chandy had expressed their concern over the health of the former chief minister. Chandy Oommen took to Facebook and said that the reports that were coming out regarding his father’s treatment were baseless.

He added that after the laser surgery in Germany, Oommen Chandy started receiving treatment at the Bengaluru hospital from a team led by Dr Vishal Rao. He is still being given the medicines prescribed by Dr Rao. The doctor prescribed a treatment method combining medicines, diet, physiotherapy and speech therapy, Chandy Oommen added.
