Oommen Chandy arrives Thiruvananthapuram airport following treatment

Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is back in Kerala following treatment from Bengaluru. UDF convener MM Hassan reached the airport to receive Oommen Chandy, who landed in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday evening.

Oommen Chandy has been undertaking treatment in Bengaluru for over a month. Prior to this, he had undergone treatment in Germany. Oommen Chandy will take rest at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram in the coming days. Reportedly, he has to move to Bengaluru again for treatment.

Responding over CBI’s latest report submitted to the court over the solar rape case, Chandy said that he had complete conviction that only truth would prevail. He has not considered taking up new positions in the party, however, would continue in politics actively.

CBI has given clean chit to Oommen Chandy in the sexual exploitation case related to the solar scam, which rocked the Congress-led government in 2013.
