Bengaluru: Veteran Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, despite being in ill-health, celebrated Easter by offering prayers at a church in Bengaluru.

The leader, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city, went to St George’s Orthodox Cathedral and offered prayers on Good Friday. Although Chandy spends most of his time at the hospital, he travels in a car every day for some time.

As the veteran has to follow a strict hospital diet, he will not be having any Easter special food on Sunday. Meanwhile, Chandy has sponsored an Easter meal at an orphanage in Bengaluru.
