Only the strong could receive brickbats: Jacob Thomas
Thiruvananthapuram: Vigilance director Jacob Thomas said that the support given by the chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan during times of crises had comforted him a lot.
There were allegations that Jacob Thomas had purchased 50 acres of land at Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu under a benami name and had not disclosed it in the asset declaration to the government. When the issue was brought up in the Kerala Assembly, Pinarayi Vijayan had come out in the defence and said some people wanted Thomas to be ousted but that is not going to happen.
Jacob Thomas told media that CM had assured him he would not be removed from the Vigilance director’s post. “Only the strong could get brickbats and only those who do not fall down from these will receive more and more brickbats,” he said.
Jacob Thomas said in reply to a question that all RTI queries are being replied regularly except those which are under judicial consideration.
