Kannur: The Malayali who died in the chopper crash at Oil Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) rig Sagar Kiran has been identified as Kannur native.
The deceased K Sanju Francis (37) from Padannapalam was a staff at the ONGC’s catering contract company Saraf Corporation Private Limited.
The incident reported near Mumbai claimed the lives of four people, while five passengers survived the accident.
The mortal remains of Sanju Francis are expected to be brought to Kannur on Thursday. The helicopter of Pawan Hans deployed by ONGC on a contract basis had crashed during an emergency landing on Tuesday.
