Anto, Neethu
Kasaragod: A man has been taken into custody on Friday in connection with the mysterious death of Kollam native Neethu Krishnan (30). The person under police custody is Wayanad native Anto (40), who had been living with the deceased woman.
The woman was found dead in her house at Kasaragod's Badiyadka on Wednesday. Neethu’s body was found wrapped in a cloth inside the house. The body was found after neighbours searched the area after a foul smell came from the house.
Anto was reportedly missing from the house since Monday. The primary assumption of the police is that Neethu was murdered. Strangulation marks were found on Neethu’s neck and there were also injury marks on her head.
Similarly, people who live in proximity in their police statement said that Neethu and Anto had a fight last Friday evening and since then no one has seen her.
Neethu and Anto came to Badiyadka over a month ago for rubber tapping at a plantation. According to the police, Neethu and Anto have been living together for the past four years.
