One more tests positive for COVID-19 in Idukki


A friend of the social worker who was tested positive for COVID-19, has now been tested positive for coronavirus.

Thodupuzha: The second sample test of the social worker who had developed COVID-19 has come out negative. If one more sample test comes out negative, he can return home.

However, the social worker’s friend, who had close contact with him, has been tested positive for coronavirus. The Idukki district administration has revealed the information.

The social worker was hospitalised on March 26. The sample test result that came out on March 26 was positive. Hence, the second sample was collected on the same day and It is this sample that has come out negative now.

Over 1000 people who were in contact with the social worker are under observation now. Their results will come out in the coming days.

Test result of the social worker’s third sample will come out on Monday. Even if it turns out negative, he will have to remain under home quarantine for the next 28 days.
