Thiruvananthapuram: One person was killed and three others injured in an accident that occured during repair works at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Anikumar (48), a Pettah native.
The accident happened when the workers were lowering a high mast light near the airport runway using rope. According to reports, the rope broke off while lowering the light, leading to the accident.
The injured workers Nobil, Ashok,and Renjith were shifted to a private hospital for treatment. Workers alleged poor quality of rope.
