Onam gift: Kerala cabinet decides to provide Rs 1,000 to senior citizens in ST community

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala cabinet has decided to give Rs 1,000 to senior citizens of ST community as Onam gift. 60,602 individuals above the age of 60 will be eligible for this. The fund for this Onam gift will allocated from Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.

The other major cabinet decisions are:

  • Kerala Toddy Workers Welfare Fund Board will get allowances as per Eleventh Pay Revision Commission Report

  • Nod for sourcing Rs 27 crore from KIIFB to develop hostel facility at Kerala Digital University

  • Exemption of stamp duty and registration fees for loan taken from State Bank of India by KSRTC for meeting operational expenses
