On Vijayadashami day, kids enter into world of letters
Kozhikode: On the occasion of Vijayadashami day on Friday, thousands of children were initiated into the world of letters in the ‘Vidyarambham’ ceremony in various parts of the state.
Writers and cultural activists made tiny tots write the first letters of learning on the occasion. ‘Vidyarambham’ ceremony is being held in various temples including Kollur Mookambika temple.
‘Vidyarambham’ ceremony started in Tirur Thunchan Parambu on Friday morning around 5’0 clock. The ceremony is in progress at Krishnasila mandapam and Saraswathy mandapam in Thunchan Parambu.
Writers Alankode Leelakrishnan and KP Ramanunni introduced the children into the world of letters. MT Vasudevan Nair and poets will also carry out the ceremony here. Many toddlers arrived here for ‘Vidyarambham’.
In Kollur Mookambika temple, the ceremony started around 4 in the morning. The ceremony is being held at Kottayam Panachikkad temple which is popular as Dakshina Mookambika.
