Ottappalam: The Motor Vehicle Department has completed the procedures to renew driving licence and registration certificate of vehicles in book format via online. Hence, people will be able to renew their driving licenses and RC books through Parivahan website.
In Kerala, 1.40 crore RC books of vehicles were uploaded to Parivahan website. The MVD has uploaded over 80 lakh driving licenses to the website.
Earlier, the department had completed the uploading of driving licenses and RC books in the card format to Parivahan website.
The vehicle owners must update their mobile phone number on the website for using the online service. If the phone number is not updated, those who avail the service will not get the OTP from the department for the online services.
