Kochi: PT Thomas MLA stated that he will not be intimidated by the vigilance probe. He said that he has taken strong stance against Pinarayi Vijayan government both inside and outside the Assembly and that he will continue his position even if it means to be hanged to death. PT Thomas MLA was responding to the news that a Vigilance pobe has been launched against him.
He stated that he had 2 vigilance cases against him in the 2006-11 period when Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was the home minister.
“I am not scared even if 1000 vigilance cases are filed against me. I don’t have to bow my head before anyone.” he said and welcomed the investigation.
He also said that he is planning to demand a vigilance probe against Pinarayi Vijayan. As per law, an investigation will have to be launched against the Chief Minister if there is a complaint filed against him. This government does not have a lot of days ahead of it, he said.
“An investigation was launched against me for holding a press conference against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan when he was the home minister. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan targeted me and my family for five and a half years. They created trouble for my wife after visiting her office. I survived that. This also seems to be a part of targeting me”, he stated.
