Thiruvananthapuram: In the high-voltage debate during the adjournment motion on Gold smuggling case in the Kerala Assembly here on Tuesday, ruling dispensation legislator AN Shamseer gave repartee to the questions raised by the Opposition camp through Congress legislator Shafi Parambil.
Referring to Shafi’s question that why CM is not initiating a lawsuit against the accused Swapna Suresh’s statement if he is confident that her allegations are baseless, Shamseer said that the state government has no time to throw stone at every barking dog.
“If we start to throw stone at every dog on the road we won’t reach our destination,” he said.
Shamseer reminded the assembly how the allegations related to the case fall flat with the verdict of assembly elections. He added that it will be same future for the allegations that are live now.
Shamseer took the opportunity to mock Shafi and Opposition leader VD Satheesan. He also slammed Swapna, her counsel and her organization HRDS India.
