No stay for Crime Branch probe against ED officials
Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday refused to issue a stay on the Crime Branch probe against Enforcement Directorate officials. However, HC has directed the state government to avoid any strict procedures before Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the state government has informed HC that the statement of the witnesses is being recorded and requested permission to carry out the process uninterrupted.
The case will be considered again on March 30.
The central government presented Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and ASG SV Nadaraj appeared for ED. The Centre demanded quashing of the FIR registered against ED officials immediately.
The state government was of the strong stance that no stay should be issued.
