No respite from the sun: Heatwave warning extended
Thiruvananthapuram: Considering the intensifying temperature, the heatwave warning will continue in the state for two more days. The state disaster management authority has predicted an increase of up to 3 degree Celsius in average temperature in all districts excluding Wayanad.
It has also instructed to avoid direct exposure to sun from 11 am to 3 pm. Earlier, heatwave warning was issued in the state till April 6. The warning was extended for two more days as there was no considerable difference in temperature.
The increase in temperature was reported in the state from the first week of March. Meanwhile, many people in different parts of the state were affected by sunstroke and sunburn. Sunstroke deaths were also reported.
