No reply to questions: Opposition's complaint is factual, rules Speaker
Thiruvananthapuram: Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan has said that the complaint filed by the Opposition that it is not receiving replies for the questions raised in the assembly during the question hour, is factual.
“The members have displayed an irresponsible approach in this regard. Not giving replies to the questions cannot be justified. The members should reply to the questions raised before the budget session ends on May 25,” the Speaker said.
The Opposition had raised the complaint earlier that it is not getting correct replies to the questions raised during the question hour. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had submitted a complaint to the Speaker on the issue.
The Opposition had pointed out that replies are not given to around 240 questions in a day. The Speaker has made the ruling on the issue in this scenario.
