No plans to become CPI state secretary, says Divakaran
Malappuram: CPI leader C Divakaran declared that he has no plans to contest the election for CPI state secretary.
A wing of CPI led by KE Ismail approached Divakaran requesting to contest for state secretary election. But Divakaran told him that unity of the party is more important.
New state council and secretary will be elected on Sunday in the State CPI conference at Malappuram.
It is reported that CPI will have a major reshuffle in top brass.
In connection with the party re-organisation, MP Achuthan and Vazhoor Soman were excluded from the state council. Meanwhile, ES Bijimol got re-elected to the state council.
CPI State conference will conclude on Sunday at Malappuram.
