No information should be leaked from files, CM instructs dept secretaries

It is learnt that the chief minister called the meeting as the central agencies intensified probe into the government projects.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed the department secretaries that no information should leak from the government files. The chief minister said this in a meeting of secretaries after the information leaked from some controversial files in the secretariat.

The chief minister hinted that he knows the source from where the information is leaking. No such move should happen on the part of the employees. The employees will be protected if they take conscious decisions and they need not be worried about this, the CM added.

Chief Secretary Vishwas Mehta issued a circular inclduing the decisions taken in the meeting. It is learnt that the chief minister called the meeting as the central agencies intensified probe into the government projects.

The government was in trouble as the information about controversial projects like Sprinklr and Life Mission leaked. The chief minister was unhappy over leaking of the draft documents to revise the Rules of Business.

The chief minister added that the developmental activities should not be affected due to the model code of conduct. The Election Commission will be contacted to seek permission for this. The CM also appreciated the role of officials in achievements made in the last 4 years.
