No evidence to prove Jishnu resorted to copying: ADGP Sudesh Kumar
Thrissur: ADGP Sudesh Kumar said on Monday that police have not received any evidence to prove that Jishnu Pranoy, the student of Pambadi Nehru College who committed suicide, had resorted to copying.
Noting that the students had not given the statement that Jishnu resorted to copying, Sudesh Kumar said that the police will conduct a detailed probe into the incident.
The ADGP had reached the college to investigate about Jishnu's suicide and the alleged harassment by the college management.
Sudesh Kumar took this stand after speaking to Jishnu's classmates.
The college authorities had said earlier that they warned Jishnu for resorting to copying.
The Kerala Technological University had rejected the college management's argument that they had caught Jishnu for resorting to copying in examination and that he committed suicide due to the mental agony over this incident.
However, Jishnu's family and classmates allege that teachers insulted Jishnu in the class room and that the bruises found in his body proves that he was assaulted.
