Thiruvananthapuram: The information that bar timings in Kerala have been extended up to 5 am on New Year’s Eve is fake, said the state excise department.
There has been no change in the timings of the bars or the Bevco outlets. Action will be taken against the shops that violate the rules, the department said.
The viral message also claimed that the Bevco outlets will be open till 1 am.
Public can report complaints to numbers 9447178000, 9061178000.
Bevco will close at 9 pm and bars will close at 11 pm.
