At the same time, Zonta informed the Corporation that works in the waste plant got delayed due to the summer rains.

On March 30, a Corporation Council meeting decided to extend the contract for one more month with fine. The Corporation, facing flak from the opposition, was dissatisfied with the lacklustre approach from Zonta in delivering the project.

Since 2019, the Corporation extended its contract with Zonta six times. However, the Corporation is said to have been satisfied with recent progress made by the company in biomining at the plant.
