Nipah-like symptoms: Two in TVM under observation, samples sent for testing

Thiruvananthapuram: Two individuals were kept under observation at General Hospital here on Saturday after they showed Nipah-like symptoms.

According to reports, one of the persons is a student of Kozhikode Medical College. The other is a Kattakada native woman, who reportedly had direct interaction with her relatives in Kozhikode. The whereabouts of the relatives remain unavailable at the moment.

Meanwhile, both individuals are having fever, and they are being isolated in the General Hospital. Their samples were sent to the Institute of Advanced Virology, Thonnakal for testing.
