Thiruvananthapuram: A nine-year-old boy died after swallowing a balloon in Balaramapuram here.
The deceased is Adityan (9), the elder son of Rajesh and Sabitha, a native of Kallumoodu, Balaramapuram.
The balloon got stuck in his throat while playing with his younger sister. He died while undergoing treatment at NIMS hospital in Neyyattinkara.
Adityan was a class III student of Plavila UP school. Body is at hospital mortuary
