Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reported terrorist links in the murder of RSS activist Sreenivasan in Palakkad. Hence, it has been hinted that the central agency may take up the investigation.
The details of several cases including the Sreenivasan murder case were included in the report related to the ban on the Popular Front of India. NIA has handed over this report to the union ministry of home affairs.
In the report, NIA mentioned the direct involvement of PFI in the murder of RSS activist Sreenivasan, a native of Palakkad. PFI leaders, including state secretary CA Rouf and Yahiya Koya, who were arrested during a raid following PFI hartal were also involved in the murder, read the report.
Earlier, Kerala Police had also found that CA Rouf was part of the conspiracy and attempts to hide the assailants in the Sreenivasan murder case.
Meanwhile, police arrested two more Popular Front activists in connection with the Sreenivasan murder case on Monday. The accused are Thrithala native Ansar and Pattambi native Ashraf. With this, the total number of accused arrested in the case touched 34.
