Kochi: The National Investigation Agency conducted surprise raids at two locations in Ernakulam targeting the banned outfit Popular Front of India on Sunday. A wall painting worker and Pazhangad native Irshad, 32, has been taken under custody.

Irshad is the relative of a PFI leader Ayyub, who is currently on the run.

The central agency inspected the house of a relative of PFI arms trainer Mohammed Mubarak, who was arrested earlier. NIA has reportedly collected documents and digital evidence from this house in Edavanakkad.
