Thrissur: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials on Wednesday pasted a copy of the arrest warrant against Faisal Fareed, third accused in the gold smuggling case, at his house here.
It is learned that the warrant is the first step in bringing back Faisal to Kerala. The warrant will be handed over to INTERPOL. At present Faisal is in police custody in Dubai.
Customs department had held inspections at Faisal’s house and seized documents and a computer a few days ago.
Faisal’s house in Thrissur is vacant at present. Reports said that Faisal came to this house for the last time around two years ago.
