Neyyattinkara suicide: Chandran claims innocence, blames mother
Neyyattinkara: Chandran, husband of Lekha who committed suicide along with daughter Vaishnavi here on Tuesday, has said that his mother was behind the deaths. Claiming innocence, Chandran told Mathrubhumi News that it has been only six months since he had come to Kerala from Dubai.
Chandran said that skirmish had always occurred between his wife and mother. Bank employees had come to the house the other day in relation to confiscation procedures, he said. Chandran clarified that he doesn’t have any connection with black magic and that he did not take part in any such practices.
At the same time, the police have registered the arrests of Chandran, his mother Krishna and his sisters. Case was charged against them on the grounds of compelling to commit suicide. Police have also said that more charges might be slapped on the accused after investigation. Meanwhile, the bodies of Lekha and her daughter Vaishnavi were cremated.
Fearing confiscation of their house, the mother-daughter duo committed suicide by setting themselves ablaze on Tuesday.
