Neyyattinkara Bishop dismisses rumours of his involvement in Dileep's bail

Kochi: The probe team has taken the statement of Bishop of Neyyattinkara Diocese Vincent Samuel in connection with the conspiracy case to murder investigation officers in the actress attack case of 2017. The Bishop said that he had known director Balachandrakumar and dismissed rumours that he had intervened for Dileep's bail.

Earlier, the investigation team sought Father Victor's statement on the actress attack case. Following this, the probe team decided to collect Bishop Vincent Samuel's statement in the case. The probe questioned Bishop about rumours of his role in obtaining bail for Dileep.

The crime branch will closely examine the statement given by Bishop. Earlier, actor Dileep revealed during questioning that Balanchandrakumar demanded money from him through Father Victor. Following this, Father Victor was questioned on the matter.

Earlier, the court criticized the prosecution while hearing the petition demanding the cancellation of bail granted to Dileep.
